Alfalfa Leaf
Alfalfa was discovered by the Arabs who dubbed this valuable plant the "father of all foods" is also known as lucerne, contains between 15 to 22% crude protein as well as an excellent source of vitamins and minerals. Alfalfa contains vitamins A, D, E, K, U, C, B1, B2, B6, B12, Niacin, Panthothanic acid, Inositol, Biotin, and Folic acid. Alfalfa also contains the following minerals: Calcium, Phosphorus, Calcium, Potassium, Sodium, Chlorine, Sulfur, Magnesium, Copper, Manganese, Iron, Cobalt, Boron, and Molybdenum and trace elements. It is the richest land source of minerals on the planet. Its calcium/phosphorus ratio is superb. The leaves of this legume contain eight essential amino acids. The contents are balanced for complete absorption. North American Indians recommended alfalfa to treat jaundice and to encourage blood clotting. It is important to note that Vitamin K, which is necessary for blood clotting, was discovered first in alfalfa.
